Analytics

How visitors respond to your banner.

Analytics in the dashboard shows how visitors respond to your banner:

  • Banner views: how often the banner was shown, per day and per country (the dashboard home also shows today's),
  • how many visitors chose Accept All, Reject All or Customize, and the acceptance rate,
  • Visitors who made a choice: the number of different visitor IDs in your consent records for the period. One-off Global Privacy Control receipts (IDs starting gpc_) are not counted, as they name no visitor. A visitor whose ID in an older format was replaced at their next choice counts twice in a period that spans the change,
  • Choices by device: desktop, mobile and tablet, from the browser recorded with each choice,
  • consents by template: GDPR, US laws and IAB TCF,
  • trends over time.

Banner views are counted without a visitor ID (see What the banner sends): a visitor who sees the banner on three pages counts three times, and visitors who leave without choosing can't be counted as people. Views from crawlers and headless browsers are not counted. Banner views are deleted after 13 months; consent records follow the retention period you set.

Use it to see the effect of changes to your banner's text, layout and theme. Advanced analytics is included from the Standard plan.

The header of the dashboard also shows how many of your plan's monthly pageviews each website has used.

These numbers describe consent interactions only. They are not a replacement for your web analytics.
