Design themes and colours.

Design themes

The Theme tab offers ready-made designs: Classic, Tide, Harbor, Signal, Campus, Atlas, Forge, Shield, Focus, Nova and Noir. Each theme keeps the same buttons and choices; only the look changes.

Themes other than Classic need the Beginner plan or higher.

Colours

In the Colors tab, choose Light, Dark or Custom. With Custom you set:

  • banner background, text and border,
  • pop-up (preference centre) background, text and border,
  • the background, text and border of each button: Accept, Reject and Customize,
  • the overlay behind the pop-up.

Keep Reject All as visible as Accept All. Regulators treat a faint or hidden reject option as a dark pattern. Check the text contrast, too.

The Colors tab warns you (in the Shopify app too) when the Reject All text is hard to read while the Accept All text is not, or when Reject All blends into the banner like plain text while Accept All is a visible button.
