What is a privacy policy URL?

A privacy policy URL is the web address where people can read your published privacy policy, such as https://example.com/privacy-policy.

You can add this address to your website footer, forms, app store listing, and other places where privacy information is needed. It should open the current policy directly, work on mobile devices, and remain accessible without signing in or requesting permission.

Use a stable HTTPS address and update the policy at that location so existing links continue to work.

Check any platform-specific requirements. Google Play’s privacy policy requirements, for example, specify an active, publicly accessible, non-geofenced URL and do not accept a PDF as the policy destination.
