Okito Cookie Consent for Webflow — Getting Started

Okito Cookie Consent helps you add a GDPR-ready cookie banner to your Webflow site without editing code manually.

Install the app from the Webflow Marketplace, connect your site through OAuth, and Okito injects the banner script using the Webflow Custom Code API. Customize your banner, scan cookies, and publish your site in Webflow.

This guide covers installation, first-time setup, banner customization, cookie scanning, publishing, updates, and disconnect.

Important: After you apply or update the Okito script, you must Publish your Webflow site for the banner to appear on the live site.

The Okito dashboard is available in English, Turkish, German, Spanish, and French.

Step-by-step setup

Complete these steps after installing Okito from the Webflow Marketplace.

1. Install and authorize

Open the Webflow Marketplace, find Okito Cookie Consent, and click Install. On the Authorize App screen, select your Webflow site and approve access. Sign in to Okito or create a free account when prompted.

2. Create your Okito project

On Quick setup from Webflow, your site name and domain are filled in automatically. Select your country or region, then click Create website & connect Webflow.

3. Apply the Okito script

Open Webflow Integration in the Okito dashboard. Click Apply Okito script to add the banner code to your Webflow site via Custom Code.

4. Customize your banner

Open Banner Builder, adjust design and text, and save your changes.

5. Scan cookies

Open Cookie Manager and start a scan. Review detected cookies and categories.

6. Publish in Webflow

In the Webflow Designer, click Publish. The cookie banner appears on your live site after publishing.

Requirements

- A Webflow site with permission to manage Custom Code

- An Okito account (free plan available at app.okito.com)

- Publish in Webflow after applying the Okito script

Connect an existing Okito website

If you already have a website in Okito:

1. Install and authorize the app from the Webflow Marketplace.

2. Sign in to Okito and select your project from the top bar.

3. Go to Webflow Integration (/webflow).

4. Click Connect Webflow and approve access for the matching site.

5. Click Apply Okito script.

6. Publish your Webflow site.

Your Okito project domain must match your Webflow site domain.

Update the Okito script

If Okito prompts you to update the script, open Webflow Integration (/webflow), click Update Okito script, then Publish your Webflow site again.

Disconnect or uninstall

Go to Webflow Integration (/webflow) and click Disconnect.

Okito revokes the Webflow OAuth token and removes the Okito Custom Code script from your site. Publish your Webflow site again for the change to take effect on the live site.

The Webflow integration works on the free plan. View current plans in the Okito dashboard under Subscription.

Troubleshooting

Banner not on live site → Publish in Webflow after applying the script.

Domain does not match → Okito project domain must match the Webflow site (including .webflow.io URLs).

Connection expired → Disconnect and connect again on /webflow.

Not signed in after authorize → Sign in at app.okito.com; setup continues after login.
